The City of
West Hollywood is a diverse vibrant community. Situated between
Hollywood to the east and Beverly Hills to the west, West
Hollywood is home to more than 35,000 residents. West Hollywood
is home to the world famous "Sunset Strip", Santa Monica
Boulevard, (Route 66) and Melrose Avenue. Shopping, eating,
dancing, celebrity sightseeing and staying at one of West
Hollywood's famous hotels continues to be a major commodity of
the area.
The West
Hollywood Gateway Center is located at the far east end of the
city at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard at La Brea Avenue.
The Gateway Center is a active retail complex anchored by a
Target department store and a Best Buy electronics store. West
Hollywood's east side is also home to a vast Russian community.
The dozens of Russian synagogues, shops, bakeries, markets and
restaurants are highlight of the east side.
The City
of West Hollywood is also world renowned for our active Gay and
Lesbian night life. Home of the largest Halloween celebration in
the country and the Christopher Street West Gay Pride parade
yearly, the west end of the city along Santa Monica Boulevard,
houses several restaurants, nightclubs and stores offering a
wide variety of entertainment and dining choices.
The West
Hollywood Sheriff's Station is located at the corner of Santa
Monica Boulevard at San Vicente Boulevard. The station is
staffed by nearly 200 employees who provide our patrol and
traffic services, detectives and specialized services.
Additional resources such as our Bicycle Patrol Team, Community
Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Team, Special Problems
Unit and the Sunset Policing Team have been combined under the
unified command of our Community Impact Team (C.I.T.). These
personnel mange all of our high impact locations, entertainment
policing all "Quality of Life" concerns throughout the city. The
West Hollywood Sheriff's Station works closely with the city's
Public Safety staff to provide specialists in hate crime
investigations, identity theft, Russian community relations and
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community relations.

vast resources of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at
our disposal, you can be assured the West Hollywood Sheriff's
Station has the personnel and experience to assist with any
public safety issue or concern.
