Detective Bureau
Station Detective Bureau:

The Detective Bureau conducts follow up investigations on almost all criminal complaint reports filed with the West Hollywood Station. The Bureau is headed by one Lieutenant who supervises three Sergeants nine Detectives, one Crime Analyst, one Professional Staff member and one Civilian Volunteer. West Hollywood's Detective Bureau is responsible for the investigation of crimes, identification and apprehension of criminals, recovery of property, identification and preservation of evidence. Our Detectives work closely with the District Attorneys office assisting in the prosecution of criminal complaints.

Certain crimes reported to the West Hollywood Station are investigated by other Detective Divisions within the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. These include Homicides, Child Abuse, Kidnappings, Priority Stalking cases and Major Identity Theft - Forgery cases. This does not mean that our detectives are not capable of investigating these crimes, they are simply handled by Detective Units that specialize in these crimes and may have more focused training specific to these crimes.
